Accommodation at Le Moulin de St Blaise
For our guest accommodation at Le Moulin de Saint Blaise, we have created bright, spacious and characterful rooms, whilst retaining some of the traditional features. For example, the Mill House still has the traditional bread oven, an old water pump, and the workings of the old mill. All of which have been lovingly restored. The mill stream runs through the centre of the Mill House, and we have purposely kept the original water wheel in place. It isn’t functional at present, but it is a long-term restoration project.
The Mill House has 4 separate B&B rooms, including a family room, and can sleep up to 11 people. Almost all of the rooms overlook the beautiful mill pond and have views stretching out across open fields. In addition to the mill we also have a separate self-catering gite, which sleeps up to 4 people, and has it’s own private terrace. Perfect for ‘al fresco’ dining.
New for 2021
If you want to get back to nature then why not book one of our luxury, adults-only, glamping tents? Our ‘off-grid’ bell tents have their own private facilities on the pitch, and also in the main building. So you can kick back and relax. Be at one with nature, and enjoy the privacy, peace and tranquility of this lush riverside location. These fabulous glamping tents are a great addition to our range of holiday accommodation at Le Moulin de St Blaise. Glamping season is from the beginning of May until the end of October.
The Mill House used to be the old flour mill. It has been extensively renovated and converted into four light and airy bed and breakfast rooms, all with an ensuite shower or bathrooms.
The guest lounge on the first floor is a great place for family and friends to chill out. The room is open plan, with a comfortable seating area, a small snooker table and table football. And you can help yourself to complimentary coffee or mineral water.
Breakfast on the terrace
A delicious continental-style breakfast is served in the dining room, which still houses the old mill gear workings. Alternatively you can take breakfast on the riverside terrace, where you can sit and admire the view and be entertained by the local wildlife. Home-cooked evening meals, lovingly prepared with seasonal produce from our own ‘potager’, can also be provided.
- Pets are not allowed
- Smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms or communal areas
- Wi-fi available
- Cot available (please request at time of booking)
- Price for each room includes continental breakfast.
- Evening meals can be provided as an additional cost
‘La Maison du Frere’ gite was once the home of one of the brothers who worked at the mill. Fully renovated in 2008, the gite is situated at the opposite end of the buildings to the main Mill House. This self-catering gite affords guests the peace and tranquility of a riverside location, and wonderful views out across the fields. With private parking and a private fenced terrace, guests can feel completely at home here.
- All gite accommodation is on the ground floor
- Pets are allowed (only with prior permission)
- Smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms
- Wi-fi available
- Washing machine available
- Price is for gite rental only, no meals are included
Please note : being a riverside property Le Moulin de St Blaise is surrounded by water. Therefore it is the sole responsibility of guests to ensure that children are properly supervised at all times.
In order to offer a more eco-friendly alternative, we are pleased to introduce a new style of accommodation at Le Moulin. New for 2021, our 3 large, luxury glamping tents are completely ‘off grid’. Because the tents are more than 20 metres apart, you also have plenty of outside space. So not only is this back to nature, but it’s also adults-only luxury glamping, with your own private facilities.
Obviously being ‘off-grid’ means there is no water or electricity by the tent. However, we do provide access to facilities in the main building should you wish to use them. Including dedicated use of a shower and fridge for each tent. There are also communal washing up facilities (fully sanitized twice daily), toilets, and electric charging points.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we understand how important it is for everyone to feel safe in these difficult times. So, at Le Moulin de St Blaise we try to ensure that, as far as possible, all parties have their own facilities. Which we hope you’ll agree, is extremely reassuring in these uncertain times.
