Self-catering gite in a stunning riverside location
The story behind our gite’s name, ‘La Maison du Frere’, is that it was once the home of one of the brothers who worked the mill. Situated at the opposite end of the Mill House, the gite was completely renovated in 2008. It is extremely popular with our guests because it offers peace and tranquility, a stunning riverside location, and views out across the fields.
As well as it’s own private fenced terrace, there is also private parking available next to the gite. And all the accommodation is on the ground floor.
Comfortably furnished
This pretty, two-bedroom, self-catering gite sleeps up to 4 people. It is comfortably furnished, and all bedding, towels and tea towels are provided. So that you can take advantage of our long, hot summer days the gite terrace has sun loungers and a BBQ. Perfect for relaxing, dining ‘al fresco’, or just watching and listening to the local wildlife. It’s also ideal for those who love to do a bit of star-gazing too.
If it’s family entertainment you need, then we also provide a selection of indoor and outdoor games (badminton, quoits, boules). There’s a library of English books and DVDs. Guests are also welcome to use all of our 10 acres of grounds. However, we do ask you not to access the private area surrounding our glamping tents.
Please note: Because this is a riverside location the property is surrounded by water. Therefore it is the sole responsibility of guests to ensure proper supervision of children at all times.

Open plan living with traditional features
La Maison du Frere gite is full of character and traditional features. The original stone walls ensure the property stays cool during the hot summer days, and cosy and warm in the winter. The open plan living space contains a comfortable seating area, TV with FreeSat** for UK channels, plus a DVD player. The kitchen diner is fully equipped with all mod cons, including an oven, hob and microwave. Also a fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, dining table and chairs, with place settings for four people.
